One operator · builds · runs · documents
Veradale Labs is an independent technical practice: one operator who builds, runs, and documents what he ships. Nothing here is a pitch. The work is the portfolio, the uptime is the testimonial, and the documentation is the deliverable.
Build vs bill
Most shops bill. I build.
Thirteen years as an AWS solutions architect, most of it in the unglamorous parts: IAM boundaries, HPC grids, and the security plumbing that has to work whether or not anyone is watching. Then I left a senior leadership position at a Big Four firm to go independent.
I went deep on AI the hands-on way, building and operating it rather than reading about it. I would rather earn an opinion than borrow one.
Small teams. Real problems. No fluff.
Capabilities
What I do
Architecture & migration
AWS end to end. Fortune 50 workloads to public cloud, lift-and-shift and refactor, on-prem integration, compute grids at scale.
IAM & governance
Multi-account IAM architecture, account governance, security audit controls. The boundaries that decide who can touch what.
Pipelines & warehouses
Cloud-native data with full CDC and batch processing. Data work since before it was called data science.
Practical AI systems
Agent infrastructure built and operated for real. Theory turned into practice, not slideware.
The CTO view
A technical leader, not just a pair of hands.
Bring me in and you get the whole arc a technical leader owns: strategy, architecture, security posture, cloud economics, and the team that ships it. I have run the engagements and led the people. I am comfortable owning the outcome, not just the recommendation.
Strategy & architecture
Roadmaps, system design, and build-vs-buy calls you can defend.
Cloud & modernization
Migrations and refactors that survive contact with production.
Security & governance
IAM, audit posture, risk, and incident response.
Cloud economics
FinOps and right-sizing. Spend you can explain to a board.
AI strategy
Where AI actually helps, built and validated, not hyped.
Delivery leadership
Teams, mentorship, and repeatable execution.
